Biff, The Scottish midge definitly loves strangers new blood! The west coast seems to fare worst (wetter?) July, August are the worst months ! and still overcast days seem to be the worst affected. What you want is a force 9 gale blowing midges are then no problem

Hi Eleanor, you look worried I am sort of house trained, will PM you, probbly not a good idea to broadcast when we are away MMMMMidges, yes, we made the mistake the first time of going to the west highkands in june, that gorgeous summer of '76, the weather and scenery were spectacular, but the skin condition took years to recover, thats why we always go in early spring nowadays. Just get some Avon "Skin so soft" moisturising oil and spray that on your exposed skin. It works a treat and doesn't smell like Jungle Formula or products containing DEET. I first came across it whilst up at the Black Isle and a service station had it advertised as worlds' best midge repellent.

now we've been warned enough about arranging to meet people we got to know through t'internet
You just cant be too careful, especially when you're not local are you ....
So perhaps you will have to meet by the tree ( apparently there is only one and its too small to meet under ) You could wear a flower in yer hair and the fair Eleanor could pretend she was meeting someone else .........
More worryingly, will you want to return to all that steamy heat ?

Local shop - for local people.
We didn't mean to burn them. ;-)
Hello Dave ....... - You're my wife now
This is why I remain in the relative normality of South Eastern England, venturing out for provisions and pens only.
