    I was considering one of these - our old television was always turned off at the wall socket a bit of a pain ! My new TV has a standby power of less than a third of a watt. So it if left on all the time it uses about 2.5 Kwh a year.

So would it be worth for me ?

                                         a) financial terms its possible to save £ 0.30 a year
                                         b) In energy terms how much energy does the energy saver use ?
                                         c) Any idea how to work out the embodied energy of the energy saver ?
