Red tape is strangling a scheme designed to encourage millions of families to generate their own green electricity with home-mounted solar panels, wind turbines and heat pumps, according to the UK’s biggest manufacturer of central heating equipment.

Bureaucracy gone mad......

.....but the real problem that is styfling growth in the economy is litigation.  Okay it keeps most people in check but the amount of time wasted on red tape must be phenomenal.

Where will it end  Huh

Further to the above is an article in The Installers Choice magazine published by Worcester Bosch, titled 10 things we need from the next govt Mainly aimed at creating a sensible renewable policy and supporting and enabling existing gas oil and sparks types to lead the way without the red tape hurdles.

Quite good really

Maybe with some heavyweight companys speaking out things may move, personally I wouldn't be surprised if this MCS fiasco isn't dead within a year.

I think MCS will stay, another way to choke the renewables industry. Those government chappies are quite clever...aren't they?
I personally cannot see, how the government will let an average numpty Gas-safe fitter sign off a profit making micro generation unit( think of the swindles whistlie)

My first recollection of tinkering was wiring a 240v radio cord to a 9v motor to my technic Lego truck, it ended with setting the kitchen on fire!............................I couldn't sit down for two days!
