I currently have 2 sets of 6 bp solar 380 panels, going to 2 soladin 600 inverters so there are two separate systems basically that share a total generation meter. I want to add another 6 panels however that means another soladin. I am thinking of going for a SB2500 and connect all three set of 6 in series. As the two installed currenty are not easy to remove am i right in thinking i can take the pos of panels 1 and link to neg of panels 2, pos of panels 2 to neg of panels 3. Then use the pos of panels 3 and the neg of panels 1 back to the inverter? If that makes sense.
Cheers

They don't fetch anything if boxed, best let me dispose of them and keep them out of landfill  Wink Wink

No seriously what did they cost £400 ?? each.
Would give you a good chunk of that for one.

Yes, if all your panels are the same type then you can just connect them up in series as you describe. If they have different current capacities then you will be limited to the current of the lowest-current panel in the string.

is it a good idea to have all the panels on one string? Does it not make shading more of a problem. My house is south, south west. Wonder if my chimney will cause issues later in the evenings. I have just posted pics under show me yours. Could someone have a look and let me know if they think it would be an issue. There will be another 6 going just to the right of the current panels. I guess its better to have 3 sets of six panels each with there own inverter than 1 set of 18 panels with 1 inverter?
