Author Topic: Off-grid solar controller with decent Pc connectivity for logging?  (Read 425 times)

Are there any off-grid solar controllers that have decent logging capabilities ? So something that can be connected to a Pc and current/historical data looked at for what the controller is doing.

And..ideally something where I'm not forced to just use one unfriendly Windows program to view it. So Linux/OSX support, or an open data format a real plus.

I'm guessing this is more something the high-end controllers will do, but anything more modest in term of price would be interesting.

The outback range with a mate & the right software can do it.

Most need the pc to be on & connected all the time.

perhaps have a look at "Steca Tarom "  and "Phocos CX "  chargecontrollers

but i think both are more or less for windows

The morningstars appear to be quite good for connectivity, even the non MPPT tristars seem to communicate over plain old modbus:
