Hello esteemed folks of the Navitron forums!

If someone knows of a good place (ie. not horrendously overpriced) to buy a Laddomat or Termovar charging unit, could you please tell me. The best price I have found for a Termovar unit in 28mm compression with backflow preventer is a shade under £340, Laddomats generally a bit more. Am I right in thinking there is not too much of a difference between the two units? It would be used to charge a 280l thermal store from a sub 5kw backboiler on a solid fuel stove. Also where could one find a half decent flue thermostat? Cheapest I have found again is around the £80 mark, seems a bit high but not having used them before I would not know a good price.

ta muchly for your time!

Capillary thermostat, good idea! Was just putting an order together for BES so that is ideal. The whole shebang has to be signed off by a HETAS engineer, would you see any problems using this stat instead of a "proper" chimney stat? I would imagine this one would be fine, except if i did something intelligent like fixing the plastic control unit to the stove itself..  whistlie

Will give ecoangus a call come Monday, see what they can do me for  Smiley

Thanks for your input

Many thanks for all your input!

Have sourced a Termovar unit from a company based near Exeter (just up the line from me) for a very reasonable price (less than the best I had posted before). Trade users can gain a nice wee discount. Companies site is http://www.termomix.co.uk. Very fast delivery, as the manager lives not far outside of Plymouth, so dropped it off to me on his way back the day I ordered it!

And now, I get to finish the most fiddly job I have had in a long while...  stir
