Just finds a login page for flickr. Something wrong at that end but also you can get a photograph to link directly by putting the address between the insert image enclosures, see the second symbol on the second line of icons on top. You need to add .jpg at the end if it is not part of the URL already. Like this This hare lives 15 feet from the house in the garden

that pesky navvi picture thief hates anything that looks a bit dodgy, I reckon. You've got to either butter it up with lots of 'proper' pictures of sculpted, parallel, colour coded pipes and wires, or attempt to post pics so outrageous it falls over laughing and lets you sneak past. I ended up using - http://bluefive.pair.com/pixresizer.htm as it seems to be simple ( I can use it ) and will shrink an entire folder or album in one go. My shrunken appendages all ended up in a folder called Navitron, oddly enough. Weirdly even this didn't work at first and I ended up shrinking pics to microdots to start with, before eventually finding a size that would allow me to post two pics of a reasonable size, in one post. Its a fairly common problem here.

Ok Where to start? I started with a 15 watt solar panel and now have 700 watt or so, all odd sized panels wired in parallel 12volt feeding a 1500ah battery. then came the future energy 600 watt wind turbine. I use several inverters 800 watt Statpower modified sinewave, kipoint 1800 watt sinewave and a cheap 3000watt inverter not sure of make.
Years ago I was given a 10 hp yanmar diesel engine badged as thermoking (from a lorry fridge plant) I bought a markon 5kw alternator and put the two together, but house extension and running my own business meant that nice projects had to be mothballed.
Anyway after reading the god of lards threads (Mr frotter to you and me) I just had to resurrect the old beast.
Unit now at home again and waiting to be put together into a veg oil powered CHP plant.
Just have to find the time.

Here I am again Fuel supply I work for a large food manufacturer and have managed to secure a supply of used veg oil from the 2 canteens (the runny stuff I also have a mate who owns a chippy, so I have started picking up oil from his place this stuff is the solid type like frotters (bit more work involved but still free) I have about 1500 litres at home now and if this thing doesn't work soon I will be drowning in the stuff Just started work on how I am going to filter and heat the oil (taken some advise from the god of lard) cheers frot I have cut an old copper cylinder in half Then bodged a wooden end on to hold the filter bags The top of the cylinder will be used upside down to pre heat and to remove any water content before being let out of a tap into the filters More soon

Fuel tank Next I have a fuel tank and a heated pick up point I have filed the copper tee so that i can push the 15mm copper straight through, on the end is an end cap this will house a 150 watt cartridge heater. the oil will be drawn out through the 22 mm tube that surrounds it. This is then fitted into my fuel tank (blue barrel thingy) the oil will then be sucked through an in line filter by a pump then be kept warm by a home made heat exchanger on its way to the fuel changeover valve, again I have used tees that have been filed out to allow 15mm tube to pass through More soon (will it ever work ??)

looking good :-)
but.... you want to have your in line filters after your heat exchanger, so the oil/lard is as hot as possible when it passes through them :-)
another nice point could be to add a small 12v pump in just before the change over valve, so that while you're running on diesel, the oil/lard will be sucked up, through the heaters and filters, up to the change over valve... and then returned back to the tank
that way the filters and hoses etc.. should all be heated up ready for the switch over ? - hopefully should help you change over to oil/lard a bit quicker ?
(I've thought about this alot myself!)

That's a good idea knighty. maybe I will fit the filter after the heat exchanger then send a restricted return line back to the tank. I intend to use two pumps, one for diesel and one for veg oil. making it up as I go along (can you tell?) All comments welcome and maybe together we will get there.
