Any progress?    I am  ordering a book on sockets and  it looks like a bit of a  learning process.

no sorry i've been plasterboarding over my new internal insulation and had no time at all to muck about,
I'm not sure why you would need a book on sockets though?

I had a quick look at it last night and wrote code to read the data from all the temp sensors on the 1 wire cct.
It also reads the RomID, the user writeable rom contents (eg max and min temps) and how many devices connected.
It can easily be adapted to read all of the data that is available. just didn't see the need for any more at the moment.

I have bought a 1 wire switch but havn't actually wired that in yet so not wrote code for that yet but its going to be very easy too.

anybody is welcome to this code, which is very short and easy to follow. Or when i write the rest of the program they can have the whole thing.

I am going to write code that will poll the sensors every ten minutes or so and log it in an sql server database. it will also have nice graphs etc for looking at the data.

I am also going to control my central heating as soon as i can using real time data from the house, the flow and return to the boiler and obviously the time!

note this will only work on the OWserver from embedded systems as that's what i have bought.
