Hi,
I know 'windsave' is a dirty word on here but I am looking for some informed opinion.

As some will know I am doing a CHP with a lister 6/1 CS

I want to grid tie at 2 ish kw.
How about 2 windsave GTIs in parallel run from one 2kw permanent magnet wind turbine genny.

Is this feasible and  legal (they are g83).

What is known about the quality or otherwise and performance of the 'windsave' GTIs?

Thanks
Dick

Further to the above I have now discovered that the inverters apply breaking by shorting out the DC. For my application this would not be useful.
Does anyone know how it is done (e.g. relay) and if it can be bypassed/ overridden?

Are GTIs sealed to comply with G83?

Good heavens,

not bumped, too early for that.

I for one am just surfacing after an hectic weekend of debauchery, and they will keep changing the titles on where to put ones threads.

it should work fine - dont worry about the braking relay - just dont over speed (ie over voltage) it. legal - yes. G83 doesnt mention what type of prime mover (wind or diesel) is used.

the only thing that slightly worries me is that one inverter might not be balanced with the other - could you not do them in series instead? ie PM puts out 400v, the inv take 200 each?
