Checked the forum shortly after 9 this morning, and found it was "timing out", so checked the main Navitron site, the Burley site, and the Webdesign company sites - whole lot were timing out......... Design company personnel obviously too busy driving Porsches to turn up on Saturday, so ended up nattering to a Texan on who's boxes the site resides
(in Texas), who was so laid back he was horizontal.......... After the usual "unless you've got the secret details I can't talk to you about it" line, persuaded him that I didn't want to alter anything, just point out a possible fault, he promised to investigate.......... Having the ip trace in front of me that delivered the Texan phone no, I decided to Google the server company and found a UK web address, and much to my amazement, found an articulate and pleasant tech bloke on the line (in the UK) who promised to look into it for me............. half an hour later, we're back up and running! (profuse thanks to him!) genuflect
So, what was it? - haven't a clue, but suspect it was a "box going down", it gave no sign of having been "hacked" Wink

Martin,

I thought it was the Chinese Cyber Police blocking my access - after what I wrote about my hosts yesterday.  Wink

Martin,

I managed to get in the system earlier but I had to click on a historic link from browsing history (yesterday) and obviously once in found that no one else was posting ergo I thought I'd better back out of the forum in case my presence was complicating a "fix"

I'm no cyberspert but could it be something to do with the "front door" as by passing the general login seemed to work for me,

phew I'm exhausted with all this techno babble, I'm off out to watch my water heat up  laugh
