I've used the plugs to great effect in reducing our standby load, the wall switch has really turned our nipper into a electicity saver too!
the wallswitch plate is normally £10 or more, handier than the remotes..
currently on offer at play.com

Nice idea. We are sorting out our wiring & I am planning on fitting a hard wired version so when we go out or to bed I can ensure every thing is off without having to traipse round the place. Only stuff that has to be on IE fridge, freezer, heating controls, solar controls will be left on.
