2.96kwp

Sharp panels

Sunnyboy inverter

other gubbins.

Needless to say it's rained alot since they were installed. At least it filled my rainwater tank up!

Other gubbins.
Meter spinning backwards at a rate of knots ( not this one). Filling in forms as we speak, MCS certificate mailed to me this morning.  Grin

Installation done by EvoEnergy -( checked with Martin that it was ok to name them  angel)

Very impressed with all aspects of install from start to finish.

p.s. When I get my extension I promise I'll use the space for a Navitron installed solar thermal system!

Its a wonderful job 'n all ...

but where was the struggle ? No blood spilt, no moments of panic or, doh! why did I do that ..... how many journeys to toolstation, or google searching for the item yet to be invented, that turns up after you cobble something together ?

What did you learn from the process ?

Youre still my hero though  genuflect

I think the main thing I learnt is that some jobs, especially ones involving lots of volts, are best left to the experts. As someone who goes a bit wobbly on the second rung of a ladder this job was definitely beyond me. It gave me a bit more time to plan my Heath Robinson rainwater toilet system.

I also learned that my meter spins backwards!!  extrahappy

Nice one.

I've been getting some practice in on my "roof legs" - like sea legs but higher  Tongue

Had to replace the original 1970's TV aerial this week with a wide band high gain jobbie to get Freeview properly (signal drops off something terrible in the summer because of the trees).

Now that I've been up there faffing about with wiring at the chimney, it doesn't seem so daunting a task to bolt on some alu rails and hoist my motley collection of panels up there (probably just a strip along the eaves were I can work more easily).  Will look a bit more like a patchwork quilt than your neat job though.  Roll Eyes

I have a SunnyBoy too.

SunnyBoys have their own built in DC isolator.  It is the black bit under the red box on Pontiff's photo.

No further isolator is required.
