Hello list

I am looking to install some additional tubes for winter & would like to know the best angle at which to install them.

They are going to be mounted on a south facing wall.

I seem to recall that the optimum angle can be calculated using my lattitude, which (according to google earth) is around 45 degrees 33 minutes north.

Thanks in advance.

For winter the best angle is approximately  your latitude plus fifteen degrees and in summer latitude less 15 degrees  but generally an angle closer to the summer  optimum matches  available roof angles and  gives an higher output  overall for the year.

I am going to make  some  experimental panels for heating  and I intend to make them variable over the  thirty degree range.
