If you need some 'actual' output data from a 4 kW PV array in North Wales have a look at:- http://energy1.moonfruit.com/ - updated 'more or less' daily.

Hi,
Would be useful if you also showed daily avg. kWh/kWp. Better for comparison reasons.

The numbers in parenthesis (e.g., "3.81 kWp"), they're the highest momentary production seen at any time during the month (or part thereof)?

Doesn't work with Gnash. It says I am seeing the test version and should install 'adobe flashplayer'. That either means it has a dim test, or is using flash9/10/AVM2. If you stuck to flash8/AVM1 then it would (probably) work with gnash and other flash players too. Putting up data in ways that mean people can only see it by getting proprietary applications from particular companies balkanises the internet and turns it from a general-access public thing to something that is privatised and controlled by people who probably don't have your best interests at heart. Until Flash is a public standard it is best avoided. There are plenty of other ways.
If you put your data on BDPV everyone could see it. (but only monthly data, not daily, currently).

Wookey you have lost me - bottom line is I was watching 'Click' on BBC 24 the other day and it said visit moonfruit.com for a free website. I thought that might be a useful place to put my data hoping it would help people with their evaluation and possible data for benchmarking against. You refer to BDPV I am not familiar with that abbreviation could you enlighten me please?
Thanks, Ron

AccentricAnomaly, They will be the daily avg. kWh/kWp, for concerning month, I recon. I agree with Wookey, enter your site on http://www.bdpv.fr Register your monthly production, and compare it with other PV generators in your area. At the moment the site is still in French, but I am assisting in translating it into English. Shouldn't be too long now. (Ron, If you require assistance, contact me) Michiel.

Ah, yes, you're right. Funny, when I looked at that before the numbers didn't work out that way. Must have made a mistake. Still, the units should be hours, not kWp.

Could someone please confirm that the presentation of my data thus: July 2010 - 210 kWh - mean of 13.1 kWh per day (3.30 kWp) (16 days only) Aug 2010 - 422 kWh - mean of 13.6 kWh per day (3.43 kWp) Sept 2010 162 kWh - mean of 12.5 kWh per day (3.16 kWp) (to the 13th) is correct. Thanks in advance Ron (newbie)

Hi Ron,
Nearly there. (3.30kWp) should read (3.30kWh/kWp)

...should read (3.30kWh/kWp)
or 3.30 Wh/Wp or just 3.30 h. The units cancel.

Hi Ron,
I see your running
Panels: 22 No. Sharp NU-180E1 Inverter: Power One PVI-3,6-OUTD
which Power-One Aurora model is it ? UK? DE? IT ? weve been told that the DE models wont work in the UK, was curious to know which one you got running, as i was sold a DE model for use in the UK.

...should read (3.30kWh/kWp)
or 3.30 Wh/Wp or just 3.30 h. The units cancel. Whilst you could say 3.30 h, you should actually expand it to say 'the average output per day was equivalent to 3h 18m production at the rated output'. The monthly kWh/kWp for an installation gives a good indication of how sunny it was in one month compared to another month. Between installations it will be an indication of several factors - efficiency of panels/inverter, relative amounts/intensity of sunshine, optimisation of slope and orientation, shading issues etc. In my opinion, it is a useful measure when informing others of monthly output.
