Has anyone any experience of these modules ?

http://www.iobridge.com/products/

The modules plus the server web interface look like an easy way of getting data on the web without the usual hassle of fixed IP addresses etc. ?

Mike,

At $119 they look a bit pricey compared to other solutions.

For some it might be a plug and play solution - but there are much cheaper ways of achieving the same goal, and having compatability with Arduino for example.

For a UK-based turnkey solution, Phaedrus stuff is nice

Does still need a bit of port-forwarding fiddling, but that's not too awful is it?

ProfP - thanks for reminding me about the Phaedrus kit - some time ago I came across their kit but had forgotten about it.

It was the 'port forwarding/fiddling' bit that I was hoping to avoid and I was looking for an easy peasy ready-to-go solution.

Also rading further I did notice that the 'free' hosting at IObridge was limited.

So, perhaps time for me to get down to the Arduino solution or to have a further read of this article that describes 're-purposing' a Current Cost bridge available for £29.00 ish on Ebay ?

The flukso software provides both the store-and-forward data collection code and the nice web graphing/UI code. This seems to me to be the nicest Free Software solution to the data-gathering and web-displaying problem, but it may need a little work to make it more general if your source is anything other than a flukso box:
http://www.flukso.net/  (is what the the web UI looks like)
codebase: https://github.com/icarus75/flukso
