We've been asked to get involved in a TV programme about renewables, and we need to carry out a solar thermal installation within close proximity (ideally within 30minutes drive) of Navitron HQ (Oakham - LE15 6RB). Filming is due to start very very soon, so we need to locate a property urgently. You'd need to contribute towards the cost of the solar installation, but I'd make sure it is HEAVILY discounted.

Please respond asap!!

Damn! Knew I should've kept the V12 Jag. That may have been able to make it in 30 minutes.......

 Cry

Good luck though - should make an entertaining watch...

Might Sleaford (Lincs, NG34) be close enough? I so I could check if my brother might be interested (South facing roof, 2 storey house).

Come to think of it, strictly speaking the house 'faces' North, but the back 'faces' South (and a large back garden), if you see what I mean!

if you weren't so far away I'd take your hand off and go for solar pv at the same time!

I'm surprised someone closer hasn't already jumped at the chance!

Thanks Skyewright, but I think it's a little too far. The TV company are adamant that they don't want to travel more than 30minutes away from Navitron, but from google maps it appears to be 50minutes. I will ask them, though.

Is anyone a bit closer? eg Grantham, east Leicester, Market Harborough, Kettering, Corby, Peterborough, Deeping, Stamford, Bourne?

That sounds about right. If Bourne is just on the limit of 30 minutes, then yes I'd expect an extra 20 minutes to get to a village ~3mile the other side of Sleaford. I hope you manage to find someone in range.

Thanks for the offers. We couldn't persuade the filming guys to offer any flexibility in their requirements, but Tim found a local installation in the nick of time - which was filmed today.

Thanks for the interest

Yes, but I forgot when. It's quite soon - end of March, I think. Will let you know nearer the time, as I expect someone will tell me again.
