As the GSHP is effectively utilising solar energy I can't see it being any different than from drawing energy directly from sunlight or via wind and the respondant cooling effect that has. The other aspect is that whilst you draw heat out of the earth the heat in most cases is returned to the local environment in the form of heat released by your rads / UFH.

There is some concern about the drawing off of mantle heat in the case of geothermal steam but the resource is so huge that we will probably be gone as a species long before the mantle sets. When it does the earth loses most of its magnetic field and slowly fries / loses its atmosphere like Mars.

It's reassuring to know that in many ways, there is a time limit on the habitability of Earth.......a direct hit from a close gamma ray burst object would provide instant armageddon for example.

Hi Veg oil at costco was last night selling at £17 for 20 liters after saying that with the current strike they might have run out
