Hi,  Has anyone heard about these certificates.  A friend of mine has told me that I can get paid for any energy that I generate with my wind turbine even though I'm not connected to the grid.

Is this really true, if so how does it operate.

Regards John

Assuming your wind turbine is less than 5MW then it is the Feed in Tariff rather than ROCs that apply now - and there is an entire section of the Forum devoted to it - http://www.navitron.org.uk/forum/index.php/board,48.0.html -  but you will need to meet a set of conditions in order to be eligible, the main one now being that the system must be MCS approved and installed by an accredited MCS installer.

Unless you are in Northern Ireland where FiTs has not yet been introduced and ROCs continues for all sizes of system.
