Extra brownie points for dual function stand too. Not often you see an IBC used to keep something dry.

Baz - Thanks  Smiley
IBC's don't make great rain protection as the rain tends to follow the curves round them. But I am allways looking for places to add to my wood store and the concrete base and the gap below the IBC's looked ideal so I let some corrugated sheet into the top of the support frames and the space below now works well as a wood drying store.

Hello this is my first post here.I have attached two pdf files with some of my rain harvesting arrangements. All rather simple and largely made from recycled bits and pieces but they serve us well.Sorry about the quality of the photos,I think I reduced them a little too much.
We live in north Dorset and rather unusually we have not had any proper rainfall for months.I'm sure that is only temporary and we will soon have them all filled to their brims again.hope this may be of interest to somebody, regards David.

How does the feed from the roof to the tank work?   Presumably the bottom feed stops the tank over filling  but  how does the same feed give priority to the tank?

Hi, The top diverter is a 3p if I remember correctly. That particular diverter lets almost no water past until the tank is full (1520 ltrs)it also has a built in filter. I have adapted it slightly so I can service it from the window.Once the tank is full the rainwater goes down to the next diverter a new design which I have only tried for 6 months but it seem to work ok.Once the bottom tank is full as well then the water goes on past into a soak away, this rarely happens.Regards David.

Hi David
It all looks good; perhaps you've motivated me to do a bit more.
