Tigger, I am guilty too. Used to make a special trip just to go through the tyne tunnel Not been to the TT, but you get that sort of thing all night long at most big bike rallies. I cant help but laugh, and join the cheering poor cold engines! zero class, would all be on charge at night not that there's much noise. Wished ITV had better coverage on that race.

Stuart,
Yep, I can imagine most bike rallies having a fair bit of noise at night. One of the main reasons why I'd never consider camping at the TT.
I have a vague and distant memory of a story about a C90 having it's throttle wedged wide open to see how long it would keep going and after several hours of boredom somebody removed the sump plug to help it on it's way, even then it still took quite a while to die.
The Leccy bikes are really strange, from a technical point of view I really do admire them and to think that one of them almost got a 100mph lap this year is quite amazing. The trouble is it's just not right when they whirr past you, they need to add the soundtrack from a screaming MotoGP bike to help with the spectator appeal.....
