I have just been told by EoN that, as from 1/4/2011 the rate they will be giving me is to rise by 2p/unit, to 43.3, which I make about 5%.... ( is there a catch ? ) Nick

No catch. All FITs are increasing by inflation.
41.3 -> 43.3 3.0 -> 3.1

Heard nothing from EDF. Shouldn't they be asking for a meter reading on the 31st?

I missed my first one, thinking they would call for a reading - so it rolled over to the next quarter - With EoN you have to ring them, and +/- 7 days from the quarter end, 31/3 in my case, but probably around 1/4 ly from the date of your installation - give yours a ring and ask when they want the readings...

No you don't.
I'm with EoN and just email them the reading each quarter. Usually takes less than 1 week for me to get paid directly into my bank account.

Ok - what I was getting at is that the onus is on you to give them the reading - not wait for a call / email from them.. Nick

Hi SSE seem quite organised in comparison. They just send out an email about a week before the readings are required. They have also just requested the annual system details confirmation as well. Iain

I email EON every solar quarter as my install was registered on 23-9-10 so I remember the Solstice and Equinox is Generation Readig Time - i thought the dates were quite coincidental :-)
Payment takes about a week - i have always found EON very helpful.

Sent my reading to E-On via e-mail on the 4th May, acknowledgement e-mail sent back to me on the 6th. E-On pointed out the rate had increased on 1st april in their e-mail and stated that if I'd also included a reading from that date ( I had ) they'd use it to pay the correct amount of FIT's. If I hadn't sent a 1st April reading then they would have worked it out pro-rata. Took around 10 days to get paid last time so I'm expecting my payment any day now.

E.On took a little longer this time I but received my FITs statement today 21st May for readings sent 4th May. True to their word they've sent 2 statements, one upto the end of March and a second statement from 1st April paid at the new rate based on the readings I provided. So 4th February to 4th May my 3.96kwp system earned £503.32 in FITs including the 50% deemed export
