We've received an invoice/statement from SSE based on our 31/03/2011 readings. Last time around the payment appeared in our bank about 10-14 days after the invoce/statment.

I have spoke to them on the dog & bone, and: Firstly they have changed me from cheque to BACS credit Secondly they have said that payment can be anytime before the next read date on the 30th June When I get my nxt import bill prehaps I will offer them the same - "I will pay you sometime within the next 3 month's" - somehow I do not think they will be too happy with this statement John

Hi Just phoned, a very helpful chap at SSE. He talked to the payments team and they processed it there and then, very impressed. Cheque within 10 days. I think they have quite a backlog but the Customer Services were 100% Iain

Secondly they have said that payment can be anytime before the next read date on the 30th June "Payment within 13 weeks" seems to be part of their standard terms & conditions? Hopefully it's just there as a "let's cover our backs just in case we get totally overwhelmed" clause...

Been with EON for the FITs since the start and they have always paid promptly.
Sent my reading off by email on the 1st April, payment received in my bank on the 20th.
Haven't checked the contract to see if it specifies the timescale they allow themselves to pay me.

Hi All Have just received my FIT invoice for the last 1/4 from SSE. "Cheque to follow"!!!. But on the invoice they have deemed export of 50% up until 28th Jan 11 and then it is metered export. So it seems that the Export meter reading is finally being used (28th Jan onwards) Iain

Sent SSE my meter readings by email on March 31st at 6:00PM. Heard nothing until May 13th when I received a statement in the post saying payment by cheque would follow. Money was paid into my bank today by BACS!!! Took 7 1/2 weeks. Better than last quarter which took the full 13 weeks!

I am still waiting for goodenergy too. They are very slow
The reason they pay slower is that they are not a primary FIT supplier. So they have to wait for the balancing to be done. Balancing is where all the FIT utillities "pool" the kWh generated & then re distribute the levi on util bills to match the generated power. As Good energy will be paying more out in FIT's than they make on the levi they have to wait for the balancing to be done. Bigger utils can pay out as they will get more in the levi than they pay out.
