Hi guys,

Hoping you can help......

I saw a PDF on this site (not sure who by) of a rainwater harvesting setup. The 1000l IBC was connected via the cap to blue MDPE pipe (not sure what size).

I have a 1000l IBC with the S60x6 outlet, I need to connect to 32mm MDPE, does anyone know of a connector specifically for the job?

Thanks in advance

Mark

use the blanking cap, drill a hole, use a mdpe to 1" BSP thread male fitting, stuff fitting through hole, wrap with ptfe, tighten a 1" 'backnut' on the inside of the blanking cap.

or buy one on fleabay

http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_nkw=ibc+bsp&_sacat=0&_odkw=ibc+adap*&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313

various choices there.

Hello Mark

The S60 fitting can be Male or Female B.S.P. ( British Standard Pipe )
You need to know what size yours are. 1 - 1.5 or 2 inch B.S.P.

B.E.S. ltd sell B.S.P. to 32 mm MDPE fittings

Thanks.

@guydewdney:

I don't have a blanking cap, just the outlet and valve, hence I thought it may be easier to buy in one piece, but looking at alans solution I'm going to be coming out in 63mm and reducing so would probably be easier and cheaper to buy a blanking cap and DIY it!

Thanks

the cap from a 25litre drum is identical to the cap which fits onto an IBC Wink
(aka blanking cap)

I used a rubber step down adapter that's for under ground pipes with two stainless jubilee clips.

Just take your bits into a good merchants & test fit.
