One of my mates has a startomatic (and I hate him).

At the min when he is using 240v kit he has to turn on his 110 transformer to provide a load to start & keep it running as most of his tools have soft start & wont kick it in. Can you set it up to have an on / off switch and or a timer so that once running as long as he uses a tool every say 10 mins it will keep running. As it is as soon as the tool is not working it shuts down without the transformer being on.

I believe the startomatics require about a 40w load to be applied before they start so just put a lamp across the output and that should start it and keep it running
