Good Afternoon,

As I sit down to watch the German Grand Prix I have a letter on the kitchen table with the signed contracts finally agreeing that my self installed, non-MCS approved 2.56kW addition to my ROO-FIT 1.28kW is a FIT installation, hooray.

Do I win any prizes for the delay in agreeing this install being agreed? What is most infuriating is that I consulted with SSE/ OFGEM prior to starting the install in Oct 2009.

I see that they have no more sun at Nurburgring than we do up here in Aberdeenshire........................

Regards

Richard

Richard
I thought mine was slow. They lost the paperwork twice fortunately I had emailed it to them so was able to show them the error of their ways. Even so it took nearly a year I think. Anyway congratulations!

This is not cheering news Sad

I sent off my application 8 days ago, and recently chased it up, all by email (with read receipts...) I'm with Scottish & Southern energy too. My install was done by a third party MCS approved.
They told me today it will take 6-8 weeks, and if they arent happy with some documentation they will write to me. I asked for clarification that I would be earning money from my FIT during this time. No reply yet Cheesy
What is the story there?
I dont give a toss how slow it takes as long as I don't lose 8 weeks prime summer generation. If I do, then that's just a flipping scam, and I'll complain to everyone on earth, my MP, the energy minister blah blah Cheesy Anyone gone down that road?
Someone tell me I'm just being pessimistic...

If you have receipts for letters and copies of initial meter readings you should be ok.

Things went swiftly here,
Install completed 08th July,
ScottishPower wanted their application form for 'Clean Energy Cashback' scheme completed by the 15th July for them to accept the generation meter to be starting at '00000', application duly completed and returned to them by recorded delivery,
Letter of acceptance received from them dated 22nd July requesting a signed acceptance from me to be signed and returned by the 29th.
Job done.

Bill.

Depends on how old you are!

And if you still own the system I suppose.
