Tucked away is an extra change that made me smile.

DECC are also taking this opportunity to amend the wording around the specific date that is used to determine the 12 month period in which an extension is treated differently. The original legislation made it unclear as to whether Confirmation Date or Commissioning Date was the relevant date used. I queried this with OFGEM some time ago and got a reply that didn't sound too robust.   That date is now going to be the Eligibility Date in all circumstances.

All of these changes will come into force from 31st October 2011.
