I'll bet it's more expensive than the Navitron evacuated tube collectors!

Solar thermal installations could certainly do with being cheaper. But the major costs are 1)installation cost, and in turn this is high due to legislation - MCS will soon be virtually mandatory as customers look to gain RHI, and we all know that bumps up the cost, then there's Building regs 2)Cylinder - this is the most expensive component, and a solar cylinder is considerably more expensive than a standard single coil cylinder, which in itself ain't cheap!

So even if the collector was free, the cost of an MCS installed Navitron system might drop from £2800 to £2400.
