i built a lot of houses in biggin hill in the early 90s,
                        town houses,3 stories high, tall and narrow brick affairs.i doubt if any of my fellow workers,(all english) had as clue as to the history of the place.it is still an airdrome and also houses the aero crash investigation dept.
    there is still a bit of the area 51 about the place,small wonder.

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch is at Farnborough. Been there, done that, etc, having been very peripherally involved in a couple of accident investigations.

We were watching a Spitfire and BF109 (I think) dogfight over Fort George (nr Inverness) for 15 mins today.

Twas spectacular and a distraction for the Dolphin watchers on the other shore.....!

Probably a Spanish built HA 1112 with either a Hispano Suiza or Rolls Royce engine Mikey but none the less impressive for all that  Grin
