Hello list

Basic question.

When an Unvented Stainless Steel Cylinder such as this http://www.navitron.org.uk/product_detail.php?proID=349&catID=113 states that it has an 18 litre Expansion Vessel.

Am I correct in my assumption that this expansion vessel is for the cylender, not for the solar loop & that a separate expansion vessel for the solar loop will be required?

Thanks in advance

You need an expansion vessel for your unvented cylinder and also a second one for your solar loop. The one for the solar side needs to be able to take higher temperatures than the unvented cylinder so make sure you buy the correct type.
