A diesel generator, that is.  Smiley

Part way through a new build of a timber construction house & garage, which will have a 6kVa diesel generator. I need to look into any restrictions on placing the generator in the detached garage block - any regulations on distances from walls / fireproofing surfaces etc.  The garage will also house a gasifying log boiler, which is apparently ok without any additional fireproofing.

Will make further enquiries, but if anyone knows the quick answer (polite ones only  Wink ), I weould be grateful.

Are you bringing the supply from the generator to any other buildings?

Pv panels & wind turbine feeding into battery bank (in garage),  then through inverter to distribution board, then feeding to house. Generator to recharge batteries/supply power only as backup.
