Found this at the bottom of the garden, well actually a couple of Km's away.

The boy's are cleaning it up a bit.

biff, Needs a coat or 2 of paint, and a tad more substantial than digging up hand grenades.

It looks like a German Tiger.

Yep, Tiger I. Looks like it's this one to be exact. Missing the guards over the top of the tracks, it seems.

my ex60 tracks are nearly as bad as those on the tiger,
i was assured as a boy that tanks would be usless in ireland, that we would never have to worry about such terrors. the old man reconed that they would sink out of sight into the first bit of bog and stay there forever.the germans did a survey one time and came to the same conclusion. they also noted that it was difficult to figure out what the locals were thinking because they had,nt a clue what they were thinking themselves. political opinions would change from one end of the street to the other and by the time one traveled up and down the street asking questions of political importance it was easy to discover that opinions changed as the people in question changed their minds as often as it rained, which was every 5 minutes.
so when these political surveyors returned to germany their reports were so full of contradictions that they were lucky to escape the firing squad.
