
Hopefully attached is a sort of picture of my house.
As you can no doubt tell, the upstairs bedrooms are partialy, in contact with the roof, and I believe this is my main remaining source of heat loss. Now, my initial plan was simply to lower the ceilings, and get another few hundred mm of insulation in place, however thats not really practical. The ceilings arent that high, the roof it just very low.
A 20w energy saver on a lamp fitting would be a danger to tall people, as would standing in the bath.
So my next thought was to "Box Up" part of the ceiling, marked in red, and fill the boxes with insulation, there by solving my problem.
Anythoughts?
