It is the most beautiful day......... wall to wall blue sky, warm sun, the air full of the sounds of life .......a "paint the henhouse" sort of a day, a real "Indian Summer" garden
It should even cheer up those who's measure of a good day is how much leccy their panels have produced....

Just hit 25 C here on the North Wales coast - next door's tree is no longer shading my panels (although it does at this time of year for too long and at the best time of day! Sad ) - so happy days...........

I'm with you Martin.  I stayed at home today since I had somebody coming round this morning to help me put my shed back up and I have to say that spending two hours outside this morning has been just wonderful.  Any other day I'd be in an office with fluorescent lights and no fresh air so today I'm feeling rather good.

Right now it's about 24'C in the shade (Wilts, just north of jct 17 of the M4) and I can't see any clouds in the sky.  My greenhouse vents have opened themselves up to let some of the heat out and my tomatoes are ripening nicely.  The chickens are alternating between a dust bath and playing dead with one wing stuck out in the breeze, their own form of air conditioning Smiley

Even the cats have decided to take shelter indoors, presumably a tad too warm for them to sit out in the sun right now  Grin

On a day like today, this is a great country to live in......

Positively Mediterranean in outer west London, mid-afternoon.

Consistent firm breeze from the south and 24C
continuing to encourage a confused strawberry plant to bloom.

Hello mespilus

continuing to encourage a confused strawberry plant to bloom.

I have loads of strawberries in flower, a plum tree with blossom on it & a snowball bush with a flower on it.

Maybe the daffodils will start to flower next week.??

weird

Everyone seems so surprised and must have forgotten last year, and the year before and the year before that. We've consistently enjoyed great weather in March, September and October over the last few years. So convinced was I, that I booked the family a holiday (Weymouth) for the last week of September - and enjoyed 24-25C each day. Bit too hot for my liking - think we'll try mid October next year.
