Looks good, let us know how it turns out in practice.

What size tubes did you go for in the end? I did not know that Navitron did a 25 tube array.

Pity your installer did not put it one or two tiles to the right and/or a bit lower with your shading issues.

Hi guys

Yes you are right, Navitron do not do a 25 tube unit so I got this unit 25 * 58 from another source as I wanted to get as large a panel as possible to avoid the shading issue

I did look into trying to get it over to the right a tile, but the problem was that if the panel was mounted in this position, where the pipes would enter the roof space, there is a rafter and cavity wall present so to overcome this issue I would need a more complex pipe run with all the insulation issues “on the roof” to allow it to enter the roof space where no wall or rafter is present and as the installer was me I wanted to avoid this issue. And keep all pipe runs in the building as much as possible to avoid losses.

Lastly regarding the insulation all now done using Antman’s method to create a tidy finish see below

As for performance, I am very pleased, having the sunny weather allowed me test it to see how it performed, and for the last 7 days the DHW boiler has not fired once and we have a 150l tank of hot water at over 50 C, and on the last day it even started to use the Antman’s heat dump system for 2 hours to lose the excess energy.

Interestingly as winter approached the shading gets less due to the sun being lower in the sky so this all helps see photo below that shows shading at 15.30

Best regards Al.
