Hi,

I am considering selling the battery pack from my electric car or selling the car complete.

My plan is to move to germany after xmas, but sadly there i'snt room for my electric car over there. so I will either sell the car complete or sell the batteries.

The batteries are Trojan 1275 12v 150ah flooded lead acid. I bought them new and have used them since Feb 2010. They have covered 280cycles. (7000miles)
They are rated for up to 1000cycles but this can be more or less depending how deep you discharge them. I only discharge to 70% depth of discharge to look after them. There has been no reduction in range from the batteries which is a good indication of their condition. Trojans are generaly rated one of the best flooded lead acids on the market!

They cost me 160 each new. I would like to sell all 10 at once ideally . I'm looking for 70each (700 for 10)
total energy of 10 units= 12v x 150ah x10 =  18kwh of energy

The batteries are still installed in the car which is in use for my transport. So the batteries can be demonstrated in the car if wanted.

here is the spec:

Interested in the car with batteries.  What is it and what is the range? Where are you?

Hi,

The car is a self converted VW Golf:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9OIvCuUVDk

this is the video of the car with 120volts. It has since been uprated to 156 volts (with 3 extra batteries which i am keeping for my motorhome)

I am really gutted to have to sell or break this car but with the move to germany its gota go.

The range with the 120v 10 batteries was 25-32miles and at 156v 13 batteries 30-38miles mixed motorway and urban.
new top speed over 90mph very quick too!

I will be ready to sell the car or batteries end of november as i am still using it for comuting to work.

If i sell the car it will be everything minus the motor controller.
1993 VW GOLF full recent body restoration and respray, 9" advanced dc motor, zivan ng3 charger 156v, 10-13 trojan 1275 batteries e-meter AND full MOT: you would need to purchase a motor controller
Will consider offers

Or

10 x trojan 150ah batteries for 700quid!  and i will keep the other components for a future project

There is another possibility:

I could sell the only the batteries with the car as a rolling project. Without the motor etc..

If someone wanted a project, the car is already registered with the DVLA as electric which is the annoying part out of the way. I would also include the gearbox with the coupleing plate and hub to attach a motor too. You would just need to purchase motor, controller, charger etc and assemble it all.

anyway just another idea. Please let me know for your interest.

This is getting complex, you may wish to add an idea of your expected price for each option & your rough location.
I may also be interested.

Lol! wackoteapot , yea your right.let me clear this up. The 3 possibilties are:

1) 10x 150ah batteries = £700
2)10x 150ah batteries and rolling chassis, gearbox and motor adaptor plate and drive hub = £1050
3) complete electric car minus motor controller £2100

Decided I would prefer to sell the batteries and rolling chassis but open to requests before i make any sale.

my location is Devon
