Hmmmm , 17th October and our little cluster of houses are plunged into darkness after some unseasonal ? windy weather.
After 1/2 hour neighbours house 120m away gets power back. We are still off -different circuit-crazy but true.
Drag genny (2.2kw honda) from shed , connect and she fires straight up -put away full of fuel just in case. House now back on, -mrs ecogeorge can watch csi - relief, stand down. whistlie
Electric board now very interested in pylon  with locked isolator switch in my chicken orchard ,-I've gone out and turned the electric fence off Grin
Little wren wind turbine is trying to take off unloaded as the grid is off. Windmaster inverter flashing red to say not happy with grid voltage/frequency etc from Honda generator.
Is this the start of a difficult winter? it just goes to show how vulnerable we are with no grid but with grid connected renewables !!
Off now to look for a bigger generator on ebay .
