You will know when there is a problem, the lights go off!

Do you remember the rolling power cuts of the early 1970s when the miners had a labour dispute and the power workers had a work to rule?. I missed every TV broadcast on the Apollo moon landings!!.

It will not the the secretary of state for energy whom determines this, does he think he is, King Canute? He and his predecessors have proven their roles to be worthlesss, so do not wait for his authorisation. It will be an operator from National Grid or an underfrequency relay that will shed the load!  A really long cold winter will bring on some rolling power cuts when the North sea Rough storage facility empties.

Buy some candles and a camping stove and a 15KG cylinder.( Do not have more than 1 in the house).

LED torches have a lot lower fire risk.
