Currently I have a vented copper cylinder, but have recently discovered that the coil is leaking into the DHW, so needs replacing.  I would like to keep it un-vented with header tank as my incoming water pressure is very weak/low flow rate.

I have a new Ariston WRc-NSF un-vented cylinder at my disposal (free) and would like to use this if possible.  Is it possible to use an un-vented cylinder as a vented one?

As far as I am aware - yes. The only difference is that the unvented ones are specified as pressure vessels, and have all the safety stuff on them - WHich you may want to strip off and plug off

If you have problems with low flow rate rather than low pressure you could go unvented if you use an accumulator.
