Do you require planning permission?

The 100 wind turbines are currently being delivered to schools across the country right now. I've already heard from some who've got them. I've also had a few questions about whether they need planning permission.

The attitude from different planning offices seems to vary. Can you share your experience, especially if you're a school, or even one of the winners who've already talked to their planning officer.
