I wish to purchase an led B22 fitting light bulb to go in my rear porch light.
The manufacturer states "Not suitable for dimmers, electronic timers or PIR detectors. "  -- I can understand dimmer bit but why not PIR detectors?
any ideas.
cfl's seem to fail prematurely but the light does switch a lot.

 I think this is to do with the different technology's ability to cope with switching cycles.

 As it stands both CFL's & LED's both suffer reduced life cycles when switched frequently. I don't know the physics, but that's what I have read.

 Maybe there's a dedicated LED PIR alternative out there, & maybe this is the route to follow...
