i know this supplier i got my batteries from him.
they (the chargers are listed out of stock but i will give him an email. it's just a little annoying that here in greece the prices without tax (vat) seem to start at or more then the prices with tax that other euro countries have. and the delivery charges are less from say germany to Paros island than from Athens to the island.
personally i want to spend my money where i live and encourage and support local suppliers but with things the way they are that is difficult and expensive to do.

here is an example: my inverter Struder 3500 24v starts at 1900e without tax. (16% tax = 304e) i got one from a german supplier with tax and delivered to Paros for 1875e.
but just to balance things my batteries which are greek made (sunlight) were i think very competivly priced , although i could find the same price in other countries and seeing as the batteries had to be shipped to the other countries (which would incurre costs) makes me wonder how much the shipping costs internally around greece are!!

anyway Roger i hope your ready for some extra power as we will have 7-8b4 over the weekend.

Yeah I love all this wind. I get most of my large items from europe because now in Greece no-one has any stock anyway. They want you to pay first and then wait a week while they order it from Europe. I just bought 6 solar panels from Holland because it was cheaper with the shipping than buying here. Dont forget to ask the guy in E-Shops for the best price, you have to bargain a little, tell him you got the batteries from them.

By most accounts the greek people are not totally innocent in this.  Tax evasion is rife, with only those who really cannot possible avoid it, paying the taxes they should.  An excellent article describing some of the problems: http://www.vanityfair.com/business/features/2010/10/greeks-bearing-bonds-201010

A few choice quotes:
"The problem wasn’t the law—there was a law on the books that made it a jailable offense to cheat the government out of more than 150,000 euros—but its enforcement. “If the law was enforced,” the tax collector said, “every doctor in Greece would be in jail.” I laughed, and he gave me a stare. “I am completely serious.”

"After that I was taken off all tax investigations," said the tax collector, "because I was good at it."
