I have a uk little house, and the bills in the UK are transparent and you pay for what you use.

Here, as i say, there is the connection charge, service charge, about 10 diffrent taxes for all sorts of things, so although the unit normal is as your tables, the add ons here are overlooked so the lecy is expensive. 

Its -2c miserable cold wind/breeze and gloomy all day, i am off to the Carribean

Ah yes all those little add-ons and somethings for the weekend, dontcha just luv 'em. I have recently bought some tickets for a gig, face value 20 quid (I think) +booking charge+debit card cost+postage ends up at 30 quid. Personally I don't mind paying 30 quid for a ticket but they should advertise them at 30 quid all in up front, it winds me up when you only find the little extras after you go to the payment stage.

They must think we are stoopid................

The one thing that jumps out at me is how expensive eleccy is in Denmark and Germany. As far as I'm aware Germany has a very similar energy mix to us - Coal, Nuclear, Gas......... So whats going on?
