Martin, it's amazing how many of your posts bring to memory things I've seen on telly, or in New Scientist etc. Either I've got a very odd brain (no need to comment) or I watch way too much news and documentaries. Go on, keep testing me, the headaches aren't that bad.

Anyway's, enough digression, check out this bit of good news. Pro student, pro British, and pro female, me thinks the Daily Mail had a quota to fill!

I just love these simple, low-tech solutions to problems - we get so accustomed to the complicated way of doing things, it's refreshing to see the use of "back to basics" stuff - the whole of the Practicalaction website is full of similar ideas from simple "Gobar Gas" plants to cowling to remove cooking fire fumes... garden
