Hi all am in Tasmania Australia

Have seen "attic fans" and basic ducting fans around.
One use is to move the warm air in attic under roof to inside house and use wasted heat.
eg ticking over through day when no one at home..

Normal installs use a duct in ceiling itself to send air down.

My qn is would this application work better entering down low at floor instead?
ie have duct down low ..

Also some units use a filter to remove dust etc from air..

Anyone out there seen or made a DIY version of an attic collector?

Thinking of way to get a basic filter eg vac cleaner type/ truck type? I can put into air inlet point..

Q) better to have a filter at air source inlet in attic, or on duct outlet? Whwer air enters room?

Or maybe no filter at all?

Any useful comments appreciated.

I use an 80m3/hr fan and 100mm plastic ducting to move air from warm to cold place.  It does make the whole place feel warmer as the air is mixed with no hot/cold spots.  I use a filter on exit as it is easier but I reckon it should be before the entry really as it will stop crud getting into the ducting.
