...pooped money into my bank account...
Hopefully that was meant to read "popped".
Don't want anybody doing that in my bank account.
I dunno. Nice talent to have...

I know I'm a bit late in responding to this thread, but received a letter from SEE before Christmas advising me of their new Web reporting site, or by email.

Choose email, submitted on 1st January and received a cheque on Saturday 7th dated 6th. 5 days, well done Royal Mail & SSE.

I chose email, submitted 4.30pm on 31st December, no cheque yet.

My name begins with B, your's with ? I suspect that they aren't dealing with emails either in date or alphabetical order. I can't understand how they are processing them.

Hi
Submitted 30th Dec via email and also the web site. Phoned up last week to see if they actually had my readings.(they don't give any notification that they have received anything, they used to but apparently the "auto response "caused problems so is switched off.) She checked for my email and they did have the readings. No payment yet though.

This is why I send them an email, so I have a record of when I submitted my reading to them.

Paid today in bank account. 10 days after their self-billing invoice and 40 days after submission of readings.
Within their SLA, but bloody awful really. 40 days is the quickest payment I've had from SSE.

Seems pretty unfair that  these companies don't pay up promptly.  They  TAKE our money promptly (assuming we have direct debit.)  Hopefully the watchdogs will get onto them eventually.

My forms eventually got through to SSE on 9th December.
Last Friday (20Jan) I got a call asking for proof of residence (recent utility bill)....
Following Thursday (26Jan) I got another call to clarify another point on my address.....
Returned from vacation today (Sun 19Feb) after a week away so cannot say exactly when but contract has now arrived (dated 27Jan!!!).

So, all told, over 2 months from date of application so given the flurry, not too bad.

And the good news is that my readings have been requested for 31Mar, etc, so will tie in nicely with FiT increases.

Submitted to SSE just after the reading date in December. Confirmed that cheque refund is to follow on Feb 9th. Doesn't mean a whole lot really, does it?

After ten weeks, and two emails, I now hear from SSE that they will register me, and send my contract.

They are struggling with this, and surely could justify  some temporary extra staff.

"Only" ten weeks?  Wink
That's still quicker than it was in "the early days" when the number of registrations was probably a trickle compared to what it is now. They seem to have been playing catchup all along. Maybe after March they will finally get there?

Hi I'm Neil new to the forum.  I'm glad I'm not the only person to have had problems with SSE....

After a year and a bit of not getting paid after the FIT started I complained.  First they tried to pay me the full rate for my old 2004 system then they underpaid me, then they got it all wrong.  I thought i had sorted out until they sent my bill when we were back to the overpayment again.  I've just sent an email to the guy who sorted it out in the summer....

System was installed on 23rd Feb and paperwork sent away the next day. Contract arrived at house on 12th (posted 9th) with all details correct and it will be returned Tuesday 13th so a fairly quick response from Scottish hydro.... part of SSE ?

End of march to submit first lot of figures so hopefully just as quick paying out
