Jeremy, don't do an EccentricAnomally on us. I read your stuff and like active debate. I have been given grief on a couple of my posts, but if you know your subject then good on you. It takes all sorts to make this world but at least on this forum we are all supposedly heading in the right general direction, (Except Mart, he's on Mars or his other side is on Venus, can not remember Brain going?). However, like you i am always suspicious of those try to raise funding, and desperately seeking some sort of credibility on this forum. biff, which Caps? ??

Hello Biff, Thank you for your compliment. Though I do ask one question, dont you guys ever sleep or are you not in Australia. Two welders have emailed tonight wishing to build a model so maybe they will post a photo or video. Its been a funny ten years of development CSIRO used it to replace a Stirling a engine on a helicopter the Prime Minister Rudd shut them down. Twice unsavioury types have dropped in to tell me of the hardship and famine to certain persons if it ever got out, then messed their pants when they realised who they had just threatened. God loves some people so much no matter how hard they pray to die theres saviours like me who just wont let it happen. Cheers Peter

I got poked in the eye with a sharp stick Jeremy, the stick was pointing the other way. It wasn't meant for you.
Thanks pj, I have sent a humbling apology via PM to Jeremy, who was gracious enough to accept it. Sometimes things get lost in translation between Mart's Mars base and Earth. Wifey doesn't have a clue what I'm talking about, all the time, but hey, you know what these Venusians are like! CAPS BIFF - now I know I'm delusional. Mart

if you joined the Capacitor shock club, (just 4 members of this forum todate) add me onto that list ! and any other lists....I've been shocked by just about everything I own I guess I should take my own safety more seriously... but then again nothings managed to killed me so far and I don't see any reason for that to change

if you joined the Capacitor shock club, (just 4 members of this forum todate) add me onto that list ! Me too. Interesting to find myself sliding down the wall at the other side of the room. Apparently I screamed, though I have no recollection of anything other than the wall. Lesson learned and I've not had a shock since except car HT leads. Hope it stays that way..... H

used to have a kind of a pal who could hold onto an electric fence wire and say,,"ahhhhh ,thats handy, it,s switched off" so when you would grab the wire to step over it,you would end up either on your mouth and nose or on the broad of your back.,,some kick in them,, so he worked on at that till one day we were on the hill on a hunt, came across this lecky fence and yer man grabs the wire and goes"ahhhhh, thats handy, it,s switched off". so half a dozen old hands grabbed the wire to step over and bang,,they all went flying in every direction, especially those who were leaning on each other for support. then it became a bad situation because one of the member had a siezure and it took ages to get him back to civilisation and safety.needless to say he was very sorry but we left him behind during hunts after that.horrible things lecky fences. biff

Eye biff, elecy fences can give you a belt when those caps charge up, and not so good for those with pace makers.
So that's 6 members of the Capacitor Shock Club on this forum.
Sometime back, there was a thread that asked why he got a shock from a plug when he pulled it out of the normal wall socket.!

Electric fences are a bit of topic but hey. We used to self feed the silage during the winter to the cows and used an electricified barbedwire fence, one of my brothers friends slipped off the silage and straddled the barb wire and was caught up an had great difficulty getting off. Let say he was feeling fragile for a few days but no permanent damage as he has had children since then a couple of other stories, one dating back to before the 2nd world war, a boar was serving a sow on an out door unit the sow was pushing him backward and if any of you know where the boars things are they hit the electric fence my grand farther told me the effect was electrifying The other one is when you let young calves out for the first time to grass, we had to keep ours in for a year before letting them out because of reduced selenium level in the soil that causes copper deficiency,, if they went out to soon they would loose weight and condition very quickly. it was fine feeding them hay, but silage was a no go, those were the days 12000 small bales of hay i was fit then, mind you round bales were a lot easier!! Any way i digress the calves are very inquisitive they sniff and lick you could always tell when one of them wrapped there tongue around the wire you did feel a bit sorry for them.
