I thought we could share our all time best, Inventions, Ideas, Innovation, Bodges etc

You don't have to have  invented perpetual motion just something that you found very satisfying.

Heres an idea I had, maybe someone can develop it. I want a bar code reader that can read the stripes on my cats, this can then operate the lock on the flap to keep out unwanted cat burglers (keep pinching the food) and draughts.
Luckily they are all stripey tabbies, but I can't get them to wear collars with those magnet gizmos.

relax desp,help is at hand,
put neutralising collar on your fav moggies, this temporally switches off the electric current to the cat flap as your fav moggies enter,,, any cat not wearing your special collar will be fried alive in your catflap..wuz going to suggest a nuclear alternative but we would be left with a cleanup operation lasting 1000yrs.. hysteria hysteria hysteria

Desp,

Are the cat's chipped? If so then use a chip reader to decide whether the cat is allowed in or not. No idea on cost/feasibility or whether its normal to insert chipson cats. Sounds like a new invention to me! extrahappy

Or just get a jack russell and put its bed by the door.  Once familiar with your family cats it'll let them in, but any others will depart swiftly!

We have magnets on our cat's collars. Didn't stop a brute of a cat breaking in repeatedly. It's a huge feral beast that we eventually caught with the aid of a Heath Robinson device that closed the catflap. However the monster then attacked up and was eventually released without being took to the cats home.  I didn't need stitches but I think I got antibiotics as my thumb swelled up where it'd bitten me.

The RSPCA suggested putting it in a blanket and putting it in the boot of the car and driving it a long way away.

OK here is my idea.

The quantum cat this is a cat crossed with a photon so now the cat can be both sides of the door at the same time and I don't have to keep opening the bl@ody door for it.

Artificial reality sheep, Hmmm.

Any chance I can buy the Welsh distribution rights off you?

Mart.

PS Beau, your quantum cat has just knocked Martin's 'All of Ireland is under-capitalised' reference to Biff, off the no. 1 spot! M.
