Good Evening,

Sorry for the long post but I'll try to explain everthing. I am running a TDC3 controller which controls my 2x20 tubes and wood burning stove. I used the heat dump or -1 hysteris value to close the gravity syphon valve from the wood burning once the the top of the cylinder reaches the required value. This has worked fine for the last 3 years ( it does require a little bit on manual tweaking)

My plan was to use a TDC5 to control the same circuits but also a gas boiler to top the tank up last thing as night so we maximise the solar and wood burner gains before the Gas would come on.

On purchasing the TDC5 I see I can no longer select a negative hysteris value I require to drive my normally sprung open valve closed. Can anybody help with this please, is it possible to select a negative figure for the hysteris?

I have looked at the other programs which the TDC5 contains but I can't see any thing which will work.

Thanks in advance.

Richard.

Hi

Solved the problem by using a 2 way relay which reverses the output of the controller.

If any body wants to know how pm me

Thanks
