hello, can anyone help please.

looking to fit a pressurised navitron system in jul and i am seeking some advice about a real install rather than just the theory!

currently have a clearview multifuel stove supplying grav hw (and pumped ch - really just a heat dump). the tank is a twin coil solar tank
i had already fitted.

i have looked at the theoretical diags from the navitron site but have also read various threads here about this part before the pump or after etc.

does anyone have a practical diagram of how the parts should be fitted in relation to each other and to heights (for bleeding/filling etc.)

it will be a relatively standard fit with solar panel fitted on the sloping roof more or less directly above the hw tank on the floor below

many thanks.

just to add, what i'm looking for is a typical practical diagram...

i just dont want to install the system slightly wrong to find undesireable results.

any help or guidelines based on the theoretical layout would be most appreciated.

thanks

Hi erbus,

I'm not sure what you mean by '' have also read various threads here about this part before the pump or after etc.''   But if you go to this page  http://www.navitron.org.uk/solar_collector_panel.htm  and scroll down the page a bit there is a link to download the FREE DIY INSTALLATION MANUAL I think Ivan has covered most things in there, if not maybe have a good look at other posts on the forum and if you still can't work it all out ask again or maybe get someone to help you with the installation.

Good Luck

Lightfoot.

Thanks for that lightfoot.... most appreciated.

I have looked at the installation guide and it appears pretty straightforward, but..

what i was looking for was any particular findings from the guys that fit these systems on a day to day basis.
i read one particular thread about pump pressures and putting the 1 way valve before or after (push or pull to open), its really just the little things that people have found that improve performance or system installation. for instance i would have to put antifreeze/inhibitor into the system - would this be filled thru the auto bleed valve at the highest point?

i will follow the schematic in the guide as best as possible although everything must be fitted below the hw tank as space is limited roundabout.

for example can the pump, expansion vessel etc. be fitted in the loft closer to the panel but further from the tank? does it matter where parts are fitted as long as they are in the appropriate order and on the correct side (flow/return)?

hope this makes things a little clearer

many thanks
