Hi While I'm waiting for a reply from SMA and my installer (neither of which reply as quickly as this Forum!), can anyone tell me if the SB1700 (and SI 3324?) have the ability to transmit their output, etc, to a PC via Bluetooth, or even through an interface cable? Although we have had ours for 18 months or so, we have not bothered but now things are relatively settled after initial problems I wondered if it was possible ? thanks

Hi I have the SB1700 and an interface card had to be fitted. I had the wireless card for the earlier Sunnybeam fitted and that works well. I think there are various cards that can be fitted and assume bluetooth is one of them. I think you will have to get some sort of card to fit to the inverter. I think all the interfaces on this inverter are optional. Iain

yep, you need a bluetooth card / piggy back unit. Cost is something like £50, takes 10 minutes to fit.

i have 2x sb1200 using Bluetooth PVbeancounter now lets you set times to download from the inverter
with the 1200/1700 you need to connect once a day as a minimum to get all the data otherwise you'll lose the daily generation
i,ve lost a few days where the sunny explorer file gets corrupted (think its my antique PC)
monthly data is not lost though also with the Bluetooth you get to see other info such as dc and ac voltages amp etc.
